Grounds Maintenance/Cleansing Operative

Salary: £24,294 - £25,979

This is a Permanent Full Time position

Oadby and Wigston Borough Council is looking to recruit a Grounds Maintenance/Cleansing Operative. The role will be based within the Clean and Green Team and undertake duties across the Borough to ensure the maintenance of public open spaces and the cleanliness of the public realm.

We are looking for someone to carry out Grounds Maintenance duties on parks, open spaces and in the public realm across the Borough, maintaining grass, shrub beds, fine turf & sports and other associated areas and tasks and undertake a broad range of amenity and horticultural maintenance works across the borough. This will include the operation of various vehicles, plant and machinery and must possess a full driving licence.

In addition, to provide cover and support to the cleansing team as required.

The individual will be able to work as part of a team as well as alone with minimum supervision.
