Overview
Do you want to make a difference to your local community? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us within our Clean and Green team. The role will work across the Borough to maintain our public open spaces and keep them clean. The role will be Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm and there may be occasions when flexibility in these hours will be required. The successful candidate will undertake street cleansing duties of streets, parks and car parks as well as carrying out grounds maintenance duties on parks and open spaces across the Borough. If you are able to work both independently and as part of a team, are able to follow written/verbal instructions as well as grounds maintenance specifications and have a full driving licence, we would love to hear from you.

Mechanic

Overview
Do you want to make a difference to your local community? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us as a Mechanic within our refuse and recycling team. As part of the Refuse and Recycling team, we are responsible for providing an excellent service to our residents, collecting domestic household waste and recycling, bulky waste items and garden waste. The role will be Monday – Friday, 07.30 am – 15.30 pm. There may be occasions when flexibility in these hours will be required. You will undertake responsibilities including carrying out repairs, maintenance and inspections on all council vehicles and plant/equipment following relevant legislation. You will also assist the senior mechanic with planning vehicle and plant records, assisting with budgets, maintaining the workshop to a clean and safe standard, and driving council vehicles when necessary.
