Holocaust Memorial Day 2025

Oadby & Wigston Borough Council is inviting local people to come and mark Holocaust Memorial Day with a short service on Monday 27 January.

All are welcome to attend from 12 noon at the Sheila Mitchell Pavilion in Peace Memorial Park, Wigston.

The service will last approximately 30 minutes.

The theme for this year's Holocaust Memorial Day is 'For a Better Future' and this year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp complex, and the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Bosnia.
