Play area sees improvement ahead of Easter Holidays

A play area at Brocks Hill Country Park in Oadby has seen an exciting refresh ahead of the Easter Holidays.

Oadby & Wigston Borough Council has removed aging equipment from the smaller play area, located opposite the council offices and Jenno’s Coffee House, and replaced it with new equipment which is ideal for younger children or those with reduced mobility.

Among the new equipment is a level-access carousel roundabout, an innovative swing which uses arms to generate propulsion rather than legs and a multi-user see-saw with back supports.

The work has been funded by the UK Government.

These improvements follow works on the larger play area which were completed last summer.
