Discounts and Exemptions

This section provides information about Council Tax discounts and exemptions in respect of both occupied and unoccupied homes.

A Council Tax discount or exemption is a reduction in the amount of Council Tax that is charged in respect of a property. Certain properties are exempt from Council Tax although they will continue to have an entry in the Council Tax Valuation List.
