The Borough of Oadby and Wigston Local Plan - Sustainability Appraisal and Habitat Regulations Assessment
A Sustainability Appraisal has been a key part of the new Local Plan production process. On the 16th April 2019, Oadby and Wigston Borough Council resolved to adopt the new Local Plan Development Plan Document at its Full Council meeting.
The final Sustainability Appraisal (SA) for the new Local Plan is set out below. The final SA comprises the following documents.

This Scoping Report has been produced by Oadby and Wigston Borough Council with advice and guidance provided by independent consultants, LUC.
The Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report (2015) outlines the Sustainability Appraisal and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SA / SEA) process; it sets out links to relevant plans and programmes; establishes the social, economic and environmental baseline (current position) and; ascertains the sustainability objectives.
The Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report will help to inform future planning documents that the team produce as part of the Oadby and Wigston emerging New Local Plan.
